The Lesson of Kerala – Read a good article in Shambhala Sun entitled The Lesson of Kerala about a new book by Bill McKibben, author of The End of Nature. In the book Hope, Human and Wild, McKibben "focuses on three places that offer both inspiration and practical steps in repairing the damage being done to the planet." One such places is Kerala in India, where the needs of the residents are provided for in a low budget, low impact way.
