Everything we do these days is tempered by the fact that over 6,000 people were killed in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11. There is an air of guilt and sadness all around. It's difficult trying to function in a semi-normal way knowing the fates of those victims.
Our community held a multi-cultural festival this weekend. The organizers were urged by some not to hold it, but it was one of the best things that we could have done during this time, to celebrate our diversity and to get to know each other a little better. One of the co-organizers was on Flight 77 from Dulles.
