Just returned from Bike Virginia, 5 days of cycling through beautiful northwest Virginia. This year's route started in Front Royal and traveled through the foothills to Warrenton, then on to Culpeper in the Culpeper basin, back across the Appalachians to Luray, crossing at Thornton Gap and the Appalachian Trail, then back to Front Royal. This year was probably the most scenic of all of the Bike Virginia rides, which travel through a different part of the state each year. It's also one of the best organized state rides, with good meals, lots of portable toilets, and a school bus based bus system in each of the destination towns. I took a few photos and If I have time, I'll write up daily reports from the trip and post them to my site.
