Needing to get outside, went for a long 5 or 6 mile hike. Fortunately, from my front door, there are many trails, most of which pass through heavily wooded areas. Walked a long stretch of the cross county trail and circled back on some other wooded trails. Scared up a few deer, a fox, a pileated woodpecker, a large raptor, and other assorted wildlife. Amidst all the recent development around here it's nice to know there are places like that left. Finished Night Train by Martin Amis and recommend it highly, an intelligent mystery told from the viewpoint of a middle-aged policewoman.
